"MASK begs the listener to look inside themselves and meditate on their darkest memories, traits, and fantasies. We fall with a forceful hit into this dark metal album, and stay splattered on the ground to witness the spirit and passion spill out of his flayed soul. The overarching theme of haunting sorrow in this album is potent, but the racing drums, poignant synth, and cleaver guitar licks keeps the listener from falling victim to the same fate.
This album will demand your attention from beginning to end, [...] in all honesty, [it] has one of the loneliest feels I’ve heard in quite some time.
The continued descent through the seven tracks gives cause to pause, reflect, and release.
Each track exhibits the manic nihilism felt by the artist; from the only instrumental track, ‘Maybe Behind the Moon I'll Find Happiness…’, that beckons the mysteries inside us to flow forward, to the bouncing guitar riffs in ‘Life Is A Joke,’ that remind the listener that life is a daily game of charades.
It is not until the last track that we witness the blame for sorrow has finally shifted, and the frantic drum beats reveal a want to carry on.
‘Concrete Reflections and Rust Showers’ is one album I will let drag me into despair over and over again, happily."

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs... Jordan Vauvert

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf

NONE a opéré un virage dans Where Life Should Be et ça se confirme davantage dans Damp Chill of Life. Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone.
